Dr. John G. Vachtsevanos is a highly experienced, board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Specialty Orthopaedics, offering expert care in sports-related injuries, arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery, ligament reconstruction, and total joint replacements for patients throughout Northeast Georgia.
He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and orthopedic residency at Emory University School of Medicine. Dr. Vachtsevanos went on to complete fellowship training in sports medicine at the Orthopaedic Specialty Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is double board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Vachtsevanos is affiliated with Northeast Georgia Medical Center and the Specialty Orthopaedics Surgery Center. He also serves as a team physician for several local colleges and high school athletic programs, bringing advanced orthopedic care to athletes at all levels. Dr. Vachtsevanos is known for his comprehensive, patient-focused approach to orthopedic treatment, helping individuals achieve improved function, mobility, and quality of life.
