Learn about what to Expect at Your First Orthopedic Appointment
What should I bring to my first appointment?

To ensure a smooth check-in, we ask that you please bring the following to your appointment:

  • Valid photo ID
  • Current insurance card(s)
  • Copay or payment method
  • Any brace or medical device provided for your injury
  • Medical records or imaging (if not already sent to our office)

Supplying these items helps us avoid delays and provide the most accurate care.

What happens if I’m late to my appointment?
  • MRI appointments: Patients must arrive on time. If you arrive late, you may need to reschedule your MRI scan to avoid delays for other patients.
  • Office visits: We offer a 20-minute grace period for most appointments. Appointments scheduled at 4:00 PM or later may not have a grace period and could require rescheduling.
Do I need a referral to be seen?

Referrals are not required in most cases. However, if your insurance plan requires a referral, you must obtain one before your visit to avoid delays or out-of-pocket costs.

Do you offer walk-in orthopedic care for urgent injuries?
Yes, we offer walk-in clinic hours for urgent orthopedic issues.
  • Gainesville & Braselton locations:
    • Monday – Friday
      8 a.m. – 10 a.m. & 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
