Specialty Orthopaedics, an independent, full-service, physician-owned and managed practice headquartered in Gainesville is pleased to announce the opening of a new location in Dawson County beginning February 14th, 2022. The office is conveniently positioned within sight of GA 400 at 81 Prominence Court. This expansion will increase Specialty’s geographic coverage and better serve the growing populations of Dawson, Forsyth, and Lumpkin Counties. Dr. Chad Muxlow, a fellowship trained Sports Medicine surgeon will be the lead physician for this new initiative.
Specialty Orthopaedics was formed in 2000 by local orthopaedic surgeons at the Guilford Medical Office complex in Gainesville at 1240 Jesse Jewell Parkway SE. An ambulatory surgery center was added in 2004 and expanded to 4 operating rooms in 2020. Specialty’s first geographic extension was to Braselton in 2016 with offices there at 1229 Friendship Road. That location was also recently expanded in order to accommodate additional surgeons.
